1. Introduction

VoxPost ("we," "our," or "the App") is a mobile application that converts voice recordings into refined social media content using artificial intelligence. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in via Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address. We use Supabase Authentication to manage your account securely.

Voice Recordings

The App records audio when you use the voice-to-text feature. Your audio is sent directly to OpenAI's Whisper API for transcription. We do not store your audio files — they are processed in real time and deleted from your device once transcription is complete.

Content You Create

We store the following in your account:

• Transcribed text from your voice recordings
• AI-refined text (posts, replies, threads)
• Refinement style and tone preferences
• Templates you create
• Posts you import from X (Twitter) for replying — including the post text, author handle, and engagement metrics

Usage Data

We track monthly usage counts (number of replies, posts, and refinements) locally on your device to manage free-tier limits. This data is not sent to our servers.

Subscription Data

Subscriptions are managed through RevenueCat. We receive your subscription status and tier, but we never see or store your payment details — those are handled entirely by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Transcription: Voice audio is sent to OpenAI to convert speech to text.
• AI Refinement: Your transcribed text, selected style, tone, and optional context (e.g. the post you are replying to) are sent to our server-side AI function to generate refined content.
• Account management: Your email and name are used to identify your account and associate your content with you.
• Subscription management: To provide access to premium features based on your subscription tier.

4. Third-Party Services

We share data with the following services strictly to operate the App:

• Supabase — Authentication, database, and server-side functions. Stores your account and content data.
• OpenAI (Whisper API) — Receives your voice audio for transcription. Subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
• RevenueCat — Manages subscriptions and in-app purchases. Receives your anonymous user ID and purchase data.
• vxTwitter API — Used to fetch public post metadata when you import an X (Twitter) post to reply to. We send only the post URL.

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your content is stored in a Supabase PostgreSQL database. All data is scoped to your user account and is not accessible by other users. Preferences (default tone, style, language, haptics) are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage.

All network communication uses HTTPS encryption. Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device and refreshed automatically.

6. Your Rights & Choices

• Delete your data: You can delete individual replies, posts, and templates from the History screen. To delete your entire account and all associated data, contact us at the email below.
• Revoke access: You can sign out at any time from Settings, which clears your local session.
• Microphone permission: You can revoke microphone access at any time through your device settings. The App will not record without your explicit permission.

7. Children's Privacy

VoxPost is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by updating the "Last updated" date above.
